Hi after I updated my phone in One ui 6.1, I had a swimming with my friends and yeah I drop my phone in the pool, which is at first I really said It's OK because my phone is water resistant. But after a couple of minutes my phone can't touch and start glitching so I decided to not galawin muna. And after a couple of minutes my phone start not functioning well and giving warning about overheating and so that so that. And yah I call for service center and they action immediately and for just a week my phone got repaired. Except for slowing the fast charging and sensitive fingerprint scanning. And they found that my phone got corrosion, which is I question this water resistant labeling with just one drop and nakuha naman agad and naalis rin agad sa water but the damage still their. Hays never trusting again this resistant again
This is sad to hear. While it is true that the Galaxy A54 is water resistant, remember that it is not waterproof and has only an ingress protection of 6 and 7. The water and dust resistance of a device is not permanent and may diminish over time. Moreover, the tests are only done in fresh water, and salt or pool water will have a different effect on the device. I hope your device gets fixed soon.
Unfortunate, not the case for mine but that was only one time the worst I had was it wouldn't charge for a few hours so water resistance is very much present in the phone but it won't protect it from water forever
