As with your concern. Try this steps in resetting your JBL Flip 4:
Steps To Reset JBL Flip 4
Here are the steps you need to follow to reset your JBL Flip 4 Bluetooth speaker to its factory settings in less than a minute.
-
Turn on Speaker
In the first step, you need to turn your Bluetooth On if it is off. If it is already On, you can continue but it is better to turn it off and then On to continue to reset. Blue backlight on the power button indicates that JBL Flip 4 is on right now. You will also hear an electric guitar strum sound when JBL Flip 4 powers up.
-
Press Play and Volume+ Button Together
Press and hold the volume up and play/pause button together until the speaker turns off itself. When JBL Flip 4 speaker turns off, there will be no light behind the power button and you will also hear a power down sound from your speaker. Now your JBL Flip 4 has turned off completely.
When the speaker turns fully off, it means it has been reset to its factory settings and is now ready to pair with another device like your smartphone but there are still some steps.
-
Press Power Button
Again press the power button to turn on JBL Flip 4 after factory reset. You will see light behind the power button and hear a sound indicating that your Bluetooth has turned ON.
When you turn it back ON after resetting, it automatically goes into discoverable mode. When in discovery mode, it will produce a pinging sound and the backlight will be blinking.
Here you need to add a device to JBL Flip 4 for transmitting audio signals. You can connect your smartphone using Bluetooth or use a 3.5mm audio cable to connect any Non-Bluetooth device.
-
JBL Flip 4 Reset Complete
You are all done and your JBL Flip 4 is just like a new speaker out of the box. There is no problem with the setting and no device connected. Connect any device you want and enjoy extremely high-quality sound with JBL Flip 4.
