frequent ghost touching

hello, i'd like to ask what could cause my phone to ghost touch? i don't see any reasons as i rarely drop my phone and it has a screen protector on. (also, the lcd is not cracked).

Oo possible reason yung naupuan, nahigaan, naipit sa unan, bag or somewhere pero hindi nagcrack ang screen tapos nag-ghost touch na. Happened to my old phone from a different brand. Best to have it checked sa SC kung hardware or software issue.

Sorry to hear that, about your experience with your Samsung Galaxy phone having issues with touch/sensor and we apologize with the inconvenience it caused you.

Before you try out the recommendations below, be sure to check if your device's software and related apps are updated to the latest version. To update your mobile device's software, follow these steps:
 
Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.
 
Step 2. Tap on Download and install.
 
Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
 
Step 4. Reset your device.
 

Clear Cache Partition.

 

Step 1. Turn off your phone.

Step 2. Plug in the USB cable via PC or Type-C earphones (in case its USB-C to USB-C).

Step 3. Then press and hold Power and Volume up buttons.

Step 4. Release the power button. When the recovery screen shows up, release the volume up button.

Step 5. Navigate to and select Wipe cache partition (Volume up and down is for highlighting options and power is to select).

Step 6. Navigate to and select Yes.

Step 7. Press the power button to select Reboot system now.

 

Self-Diagnostic check on the Samsung Members app.

Check the status of your device with the Samsung Members app Diagnostic tool. You can select the individual categories you would like to diagnose or run a complete diagnostic check. After the diagnostic is completed, you can select the corresponding icon to see the results and status of your device. Follow the steps below to start your diagnostic check. 

Step 1. Run Samsung Members and select Get help on the lower half of the screen.

Step 2. Tap View tests located under Diagnostics.

Step 3. If you would like to run through all of the Diagnostics checks, tap Test all. Otherwise, tap only "Touch screen".

Step 4.Your Galaxy phone will then run through the checks.

Step 5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the check.

Step 6. When necessary, you may need to manually run or interact with the corresponding function.

  

If that doesn't work, you can submit an error report through Samsung Members app as follows:

 

Step 1. Long press Samsung Members icon on Apps screen and tap Error reports.

Step 2. Tap OK on agreement popup to send system log data.

Step 3. Select Symptom category "Sensor/Touch".

Step 4. Describe the problem in details and SEND.
