The Galaxy A22 continues to elude the market but this could change soon. At least one third-party case manufacturer appears to have obtained detailed information regarding the Galaxy A22’s exterior design ahead of the phone’s debut, and case renders have now emerged online.

The renders reveal a square-shaped camera housing similar to the Galaxy F62 / Galaxy M62 / Galaxy F12 / Galaxy M12, though the renders don’t necessarily confirm the exact sensor arrangement. Likewise, the LED flash appears to be contained within the camera housing as opposed to sitting on the outside, though this would suggest that the Galaxy A22 has three rear-facing sensors as opposed to the alleged quad-camera setup.

The case renders also reveal a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the right edge of the phone, just below the volume rocker. The top of the device seemingly accommodates a 3.5mm headphone jack, and the screen is depicted as having an Infinity-V notch. However, it’s worth noting that case manufacturers don’t always get this particular detail right because the display doesn’t usually dictate their case designs. On the other hand, the Galaxy A22 will be a budget phone and the Infinity V display is appropriate for the segment.

Judging by previous leaks and rumors, the Galaxy A22 should be released in 4G and 5G flavors, meaning it could become Samsung’s cheapest 5G phone at launch, dethroning the Galaxy A32 5G in the process. The phone’s color options have previously been (unofficially) confirmed and the 5G variant, at least, is expected to hit the shelves in gray, white, light green, and purple.
