Samsung have updated the price of Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51. They can now be purchased directly from samsung.com/ca, unlocked. The prices are as follows:

As CHMultimedia previously reported a couple of months ago, the awaited successors to 2019's Galaxy A Models have begun to make appearances in Canada. They are the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71, succeeding the Galaxy A50 and A70 before them, respectively.
Mobilesyrup reported last week that they were available for pre-order on Koodo's website, but were not yet made available on Samsung's own site. However, they are now available for viewing on samsung.com/ca, though there still doesn't seem to be an option to pre-order them yet.
Additionally, most other Galaxy A Models have been discounted:
Galaxy A10e: $199.99 --> $179.99 (Until May 31)
Galaxy A50: $449.99 --> $399.99 (Until April 28)
Galaxy A70: $629.99 --> $499.99 (Until April 28)
What's different with each phone? Here's a discussion between the differences in specs.
The primary upgrade in these iterative models are the camera modules. For now, here's the small changes:
Galaxy A51:
- The Galaxy A51 sports a newer chipset - the Exynos 9611 compared to the A50's Exynos 9610, and additionally has Android 10/One UI 2 straight out of the box.
- The primary camera has been upgraded from 25 MP f/1.7 to 48 MP f/2.0.
- The ultrawide camera has been upgrade from 8 MP f/2.2 to 12 MP f/2.2.
- The depth camera remains the same at 5 MP f/2.2, but the A51 adds a new 5 MP f/2.4 Macro Lens. Macro Lens will allow users to take detailed shots of close-up subjects (essentially acting as a "microscope").
- Video capability is also upgraded; the A51 can now shoot in 2160p @ 30fps, and upgrades from 1080p @ 30fps to 1080p @ 30/120 fps.
All other specifications, such as the battery capacity, RAM, and fingerprint sensor remain unchanged.
Galaxy A71:
Like the A51, the primary upgrades are in the camera. But here are some of the other upgrades below:
- The Galaxy A71 sports a newer chipset - the Snapdragon 730 compared to the A70's Snapdragon 675 and additionally has Android 10/One UI 2 straight out of the box.
- The primary camera has been upgraded from 32 MP f/1.7 to 64 MP f/1.8.
- The ultrawide camera has been upgraded from 8 MP f/2.2 to 12 MP f/2.2.
- The depth camera remains the same at 5 MP f/2.2, but the A71 adds a new 5 MP f/2.4 Macro Lens, much like the A51.
- The A71 supports video at 1080p @ 960fps.
All other specifications, such as the battery capacity, RAM, and fingerprint sensor remain unchanged.
