Google play store notification

When I open google play store I see a notification (1) indicating a single notification pending. When I click on notification nothing is available. Can anyone explain why ?

Maybe there was a Notification for something, and you either got something, or it just expired. 

Clearing Cache & Data for the Play Store should remove it.

Googling the issue, seems it's an Android bug and from reading, nothing fixes it.  Seems even google can't fix it.
