Group conversations come in individually

My child's Samsung Galaxy A70 does not receive group conversations,as a group, but individually.  In settings- MMS there is no group conversation to toggle on or off . Everything online just says to do that . Help!

Hi, are you using Samsung Messages or Google Messages app?

If not, please download it from Google play store and set Google messages as a default messaging app. This new Android Messages was integrated with key features and services developed together by both Samsung and Google and is a common messaging client based on Android Messages, which incorporates core Samsung features such as the Multi Device Experience.

Ok. Thank you. However, I had my own A70 and had no problem. Woth all of my Samsungs I've used default messaging app.
