I've been having problems with the mic on my phone. If I'm making a call, I can only hear the other person when my phone is on speaker and also they wouldn't be able to hear a word I say. Even on WhatsApp I can't record a voice note.
Every time I restart my phone, everything works properly again but after a few hours, the problem occurs again. I've also tried updating. Nothing works please help. I don't want to keep restarting my phone every time this happens.

If a simple Reboot fixes it temporarily, try Booting into Recovery & Wipe Cache. See if that's more permanent?

Hi, please try using the microphone in safe mode. If there is no problem in Safe Mode, it may be a problem caused by an installed third-party app on your phone. To find which app is causing the issue, you can try uninstalling the apps in the order of the last installation.

Step 1. Open Quick settings. Tap the Power icon at the top of the screen.

Step 2. Touch and hold Power off until the Safe mode icon is displayed.

Step 3. Tap Safe mode. If you've entered Safe mode successfully, you will see Safe mode displayed at the bottom of the screen.

The phone may not be able to recognize your voice well if the microphone hole is blocked by foreign objects such as an attachable protective cover. The microphone is located at the bottom of your phone. Make sure that no foreign matter is blocking the microphone hole and try again after removing anything you find.

My S23 Ultra has had this issue with all calls since first call with no software updates or apps to the latest call with updated software. The call receiver will finally get voice after 10 seconds or so. But by that time you've lost a client. Going to try to get a refund for this phone tomorrow.

with my note20 ultra

Whenever using VOIP apps ( whatsapp, telegram, Google Meet) the other party can't hear me (calls or voice notes)

Normal calls via mobile network (sim) works fine

  • But all other apps have the issue

I tried checking the microphones using *#0*#.

Only the second upper microphone (for the camera) works,

but the first (lower) and third do not emit any sound. I can confirm to you that the problem is 100% technical in the system.

I tried a lot to search for ways to solve the problem and tried everything possible, but after searching I noticed in the online community that it is a general problem in other devices and it is fixed with updates. When will an update be issued that solves this problem or a way to solve it until the update comes out?

Hello.. Did you find a solution to the problem... because I have had the same problem for a month.. The first time I turned off the phone and turned it on and it worked again... The second time I connected it to the laptop and the problem came back again
