Hey there fellow Samsung Galaxy A-Series users. I currently am still using my Samsung Galaxy A71 to this day and I'm wondering if my A71 will still get more system and security updates? Got this photo since 2020 and is already a year old and soon two years old. Though I can still see myself using this A71 phone for more than two years. Is my A71 phone still a good phone for more than a few years to use?

Thanks for the comment. So I'm all good in terms of system and security updates? But generally, I can still keep and use my A71 phone for more than just a few years, even after 2024 when the updates stop coming to my phone model? My A71 is specifically a SM-A715F/DS (if it helps for specifics), either way, this is still a good or decent phone to use for more than just a few years? I obviously am aware that newer and higher Samsung phones like the A-52 and A-72 are out and available and even affordable. But I can still use my A71 and am good with a good or decent phone?

Oh and also I'm from Southeast Asia. I'm aware systems, security and feature updates release differently in my country region. But still, my A71 is still a good or decent phone to hold onto and use for more than a few years beyond possibly 2024?

Yes ofc my mom is still using samsung j5 pro 2016 after this years and still not needing to replace it unless the battery of it but 5he reason is she dont need to it met her need and use case, soo if the phone still performing good and still meeting your demands and needs theres no urge to replace it even theres no uodates bieng rolled out also take note that "regular updates" is not bieng received but there will be still some updates mostly if theres a major exploit, soo as long as the device meets your need theres no need to replace in unless the battery mostly every 2 or 3 years depends on your usecase ofc, sooo yesss no need for replacing unless you rwally want it or need it

Just remember that i reccomend you change your phone minimum of 2 yrs and max of 6 yrs because technology grows so fast

Galaxy A71 will get 3 major updaye which is the One UI 3, One UI 4, and you will receive your last major update which is the One UI 5 as expected. And will get 4 years of security update.
