My questions about Samsung

Hello there, I hope you're having a nice day/night. I have a few questions, and hopefully, you can answer them. They might be simple, but I'm a bit new to Samsung.

Is it just me, or does the Messenger app drain my phone battery a lot when I'm in a call with someone? My friends and I did a sleep call together, and I left my phone at 49% or below. When I woke up, my phone battery was dead. It was between 11 pm to 5 am. My old Samsung phone, the A10, seems to do better.

How can I know if my phone battery is actually running well?

Is it worth it to upgrade from my Samsung A52s to an A53?

How many OS updates does the A53 have left?

Is it okay to use a different charging cable, even if my power brick is original from Samsung?

That's all, and thank you for taking your time to read this. I appreciate it.

1. How long were you asleep for? 49% is still high. I know I've slept once for more than 12 hours and my phone was below 30% but I woke up at 7% - you could have too many apps running on the background. One thing that really made a difference for me was turning off social media notifications.
2. Is the phone new? If yes, it might still be learning your usage patterns hence it's draining faster than normal.
3. You can run a diagnostic test through the Device Care app or though the Support button here in Samsung Members.
4. As long as the charging cable is of good quality, it should be ok. Don't buy cheap and knock-off cables because those are made from sub-par materials and may do more harm than good. I've been using branded cables, even if they're more expensive.
