Galaxy APhone comes on with 'Samsung Galaxy A71 5G' then changes to 'Samsung' then 'One UI 100%' and then keeps recycling and occasionally will say starting then goes back to recycle.
It would appear like a repair job so wondering should I scrap and buy a new phone as battery is original or get it repaired? Also any idea of repair cost range?
Regards,
Alan

Galaxy AYour device is about 6 years old and i trust it served you well during that time.
A few things happening/ happened:
*The battery is struggling, if you look around you may find a replacement.
* You will soon stop receiving security updates, if not already stopped. That's cannot be fixed, Samsung support devices either for 5 or 7 years. I tend to believe your device is on the 5 years segment.
* Also you should check if you have access to 000 emergency number. I am sure i don't have to elaborate how critical is this one.
I believe evaluating those points will help you to assess what the best course of action is for you.
Cheers,

Galaxy AAs @NSter said, I wouldn't recommend repairing a 6 year old phone, as it would be long past its lifespan, which would explain some of the issues you're having, particularly the bootloop (which can mean a motherboard failure).
My honest opinion? I would recommend you get a new phone (you'll feel the difference!).
As for your data, you could try getting a mobile repair shop to extract it for you, or to perform a basic repair so it is functionable until you transfer your data.
All the best!

Galaxy AIf that doesn't work, try wiping the Partition Cache. Plug your phone into your computer, then press the Power Button + Volume Up until you see the logo. You'll see an option to clear the partition cache there.
There are a lot of "How To" videos on YouTube if you want step-by-step instructions.
