Samsung A71 OTG issue/fix

I have a friend who has a problem with her device. 

Her phone (Samsung A71) does not show the OTG unmount option in the notification.

See pictures below. 

I have no idea how to fix this issue.

in settings go to device care/storage/advanced(3 dots on the upper right) .. there you must find your external storage with unmount option

Thanks! But is there a way to unmount is via notification? The usual one.

Have you tried switching the controlled by option from connected device to this phone?

Yes. But it says the device was eject .... and restart is needed.

it popped out on the first connection, but after I swipe it off, it never came back even if i do reconnect the device🤔

According to my friend, it was the same scenario. Then every time my friend insert the USB OTG, that notification never appears

we've got no choice but to unmount it in the settings. Maybe we shouldn't have swipe it off😂

Lmao 🤣 I guess we need to wait for a software update for this issue to be fixed.

Update:

I accidentally discovered a way to make the notification appear.

1. Use a OTG (see picture) with USB (different one) inserted.
2. Surprisingly, the option to unmount the usb from the notification appeared.
3. Unmount the usb from device care.
4. Insert my friend's OTG/USB Type-C.
5. Problem fixed.

Now every time I insert the OTG/USB Type-C, the notification is now appearing again.
