Security updates for Samsung Galaxy A71

Hey, quick question for anyone with the A71 in Canada on the telus/public Mobile network? Because I just got this phone and I'm still on the November security patch update. How often is the software updated? Thanks.

All A series phones are updated every three months with the exception of the A50 and A8 which are every month.

cloneofghosts, my a50 only received an update for Jan 2021 and my previous was November 2020. I received no Dec 2020 update.

It's supposed to get patches every month but there may have been delays or issues so they decided to skip a month.

We often get patches near the end of the month or next month depending on the device and there isn't much we can do about it.
