What is the difference between the 2 sharing settings  quick share and nearby share ? I went to tips, then users manual but could not find an explanation on either.

Nearby Sharing is from Google and Quick Share is from Samsung. Both doing the same things, which share the files and photos easily.

These communication app are not defined well and this does not bode well for security.

Nearby Share allows Samsung Galaxy users to share content with other Android devices nearby instead of emailing or texting them.
Both Nearby sharing and Quick sharing are used to share files with each other between two devices.

When I make a decision on using a communication app I like to know the details of operation. I think users should be allowed options if they want communication apps installed.
