Good Evening,  I'm expecting a new Samsung smartphone this week or next. I have a question about Smart Switch. Should I complete the transfer with Smart Switch between the old and the new before or after transferring the SIM card? What's the recommendation for this process?

After. As soon as you insert the SIM in your new phone, it will reset itself to install your carrier's settings. So do it before configuring anything on it.

Does the A71 series follow a monthly or quarterly update schedule?

Insert the SIM card first - It will Automatically Factory Reset your device with the first time a SIM card is installed - If you set up your device first - You'll have wasted your time - SIM - Automatically Factory Reset - Set up your device & then use Smart Switch.

1. Do a full backup using SmartSwitch
2. Remove SIM from old phone
3. Insert new SIM into new phone
4. Once automatically factory reset done
5. Use SmartSwitch restore data
