As for your concern, we do advise you to ALWAYS UPDATE your device's software version. Delaying so and/or not installing updates may cause further performance issues on your device and cause more harm than good. Also, don't forget to regularly do CLEAR CACHE PARTITION via RECOVERY/SAFE MODE on your device every after an update to refresh the system. Hope this helps!
