so here's the thing, there are 2 version A42 was released depending on region, one with Android 10 was release in nov 2020 and one with Android 11 was released in 2021, so if you got your A42 with Android 10 pre-installed which mean Android 12 is your final Android for A42

it's time to upgrade your phone to A55 or higher
