Galaxy A(I don't know if it is only me who experiences this issue, but I'll still post about it anyway.)
When using wired earphones (via the 3.5mm audio jack, not USB-C), the touchscreen often stops recognizing light taps or swipes; they appear as dots instead of smooth lines during touch tests. Pressing harder sometimes works normally, but light touches are not.
This issue:
• Only happens when wired earphones are plugged in.
• Does not happen when using Bluetooth earphones or no earphones at all.
• Seems to have appeared only after updating to One UI 7 (Android 15), and continues in the latest One UI 8 (Android 16). I didn't have this issue in One UI 6.1 (Android 14)
• Can be temporarily fixed by locking and unlocking the phone or restarting it, but the issue returns after a few minutes of use.
• Reconnecting earphones while the screen is off prevents the issue from coming up.
Because restarting or locking/unlocking temporarily restores normal touch response with wired earphones plugged in, I think this cannot be a hardware problem.
I hope this is an issue that can be fixed soon.
