Omg i have seen everything from "...Samsung have given up on us..." to "...put your phone in rice...", one bloke even said Samsung removed and replaced his back glass and its tape and that supposedly fixed it. That is just insanity.
All you need to do is:
- Activate "developer mode" by going to settings, then "about phone" then "software information" then tap on "build number" 7 times. It will then say "developer mode activated".
- Go to "settings" again, scroll down and there will be an option that wasn't there before...yep, you guessed it, "developer mode". Tap it.
- Scroll down until you see "enable usb debugging". Slide the thingy so its "on".
- Lastly scroll down to "usb default setting", click on it, and make sure NONE of the options you see are selected. If any are selected that will make the usb port serve only that purpose which is selected, and you don't want that.

Now you can go to the home screen, swipe down, and there shouldn't be any more switching connected/disconnected usb notification.
The final step is to tip the rice into the bin and put away the bowl.

Good luck... and whatever you do, don't just give up and buy an iphone, all that will do is put yet another pair of balls firmly into the grasp of Steve Jobs from beyond the grave.., and you don't want that.
