The photos I took were okay at first, I could view them properly. However after a few hours, I couldn't access them anymore because they’re already corrupted. This happens after I updated my phone to the latest software. Do you have any idea how to fix this?

Hey jfronza, are you using your external SD card as storage for your photos?

Hello jfronza,

We are sorry to hear about your experience with your Samsung Galaxy A13 having issues with the corrupted photos, and we apologize for the inconvenience it caused you.

If I encounter the same experience, I will get worried too. But don't fret; we are here to guide, assist, and offer solutions to restore your device's camera app to optimum performance.

Before you try out the recommendations below, be sure to check if your device's software and related apps (Camera) are updated to the latest version. To update your mobile device's software, follow these steps:

Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.

Step 2. Tap on Download and install.

Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 4. Restart your device.

Step 5. Using your camera, try taking a photo, saving it both in internal storage and on your microSD card, then checking if the issue remains.

Check the microSD Card

If the problem still persists, you can view the photos on your computer. If your computer reads the photos but they are corrupted, these files are most likely lost and cannot be recovered. To prevent this from happening again, we highly recommend replacing the microSD card you are using in your phone.
