its salt water. super easy to maintain.... I vacuum once a week, test the chemicals every week. really once they're dialed in, I don't have to do much for the season. working on making a solar heater for it, but that is to increase the swimming season...obviously doesnt need it now, but will allow me to open earlier and close later
