Galaxy GalleryEvery year the City of Toronto participates in Nuit Blanche, an art event hosting many unique art pieces around the city. These pieces and experiences are produced from Canadian artists and others from around the world. This turns the whole city into a full fledge art exhibit for the public to go out and interact and view these projects. The piece in the photo was called the "Lunar Garden" by Daniel Arsham. He had created a 30-foot light orb structure to signify the presence of the moon within a japanese-inspired Zen garden of sand, right in the centre of Nathan Phillip's Square. I felt this piece represented the importance of light in the darkness. The moon helps guide us in the darkest of nights to provide clarity when all we can see is darkness.
