Wondering if anyone can help me out, every time I plug my phone into my car to get andriod auto it connects loads the screen then disconnects not long after, have tried numerous different cords, have tried both usb ports in my car and same thing. I do get andriod auto to work I'm my work car but just doesn't seem to work in my own car.

Thanks

Hey @KB24SMM, that's odd. Since it appears to work in one car but not the other, it may be linked to the software of your personal car.

1. Is the USB port of your car blocked with dirt and debris? This can be interrupting the cable connection.

2. Some car models require Android Auto to be manually enabled in the settings. Steps may vary depending on your car manufacturer.

3. Updating the software of your car. Steps may vary depending on your car manufacturer, I suggest checking your manufacturers website for the user manual.

I've checked everything already in those terms, thinking of taking it to dealership to see if it's a fault on the cars end seeing as it works in other cars just not my car. Thought I would post in here to see if anyone had any similar issues or could help out in any other way

I have the same issue - but it's also not working trying to connect to my laptop.

I thought the issue of it constantly connecting then disconnecting lied in the cigarette lighter USB plug thing. As it charges fine in our other car which we use a different cigarette lighter USB plug.

But, now I'm trying to import photos from my phone to my laptop and I can't get them to connect. I'm using a multiport device to connect my phone (A21) to my laptop and I've tried multiple different things - like unistalling the USB driver, USB debugging in developer mode, on/off on both devices, updates on both devices, using a different port on my laptop, and again on/off on both devices etc..

I'm getting a constant silent message saying USB connected, then USB disconnected, USB connected, USB disconnected etc.. - even when nothing is even plugged into my phone. I can get it to stop if i place a paper clip inside the port and try moving it around (like cleaning it) but then as soon as I try again and put the cable into my phone and the mulitport device, the USB connected / disconnected error comes back until I use the paper clip again.

I've been trying to work out whats wrong for hours. The multiport device is brand new - I used it once already to download the photos from my phone to my laptop only in January (3mths ago), and this is now only the 2nd time I'm even trying to use it.

Please can you help me connect my phone to my laptop so I can import the photos? There's no memory left and I can't use some apps.

Thank you, Jaye

Have a look at the Bluetooth and connection settings..does it have wireless connection....check the settings out on the work car against the ones on your car..is your head unit updatable..
