Same thing happened to my 15 month old note 20 ultra .22k to have the LCD fixed, I was told

I just dropped by the service center. They said a replacement LCD +service will cost me 15K PHP. Since my Samsung Care + (1year) and warranty were expired, they will request to apply warranty to reduce the cost 50%. 😆 and I will have to wait a week for repairs 😆 for similar tier phones (S22 or Note 20 series) go look for another brand ! ! !

Well happened to me last week. It turned on after 4 hours, and then went black screen again. I've had it for 15 months as well. Don't know, it feels like they do this on purpose, knowing that we no longer have warranty! Just bought iPhone13 pro max 3 days ago. Leaving Samsung for good!

Just a side anecdote... last september 2020, Samsung launched their online marketing campaign for the new S and Note 20 series all over SOCMED. My Note 3 that time (6 years working and beat up) began acting up and finally died on me.. forcing me to upgrade. Fast Forward to today with their S22 promos is reminiscent of the previous experience

Instead of paying heaps of money for the lcd replacement, the sucker that I am bought s22 ultra....just because I can't pay that much for repairs alone. This is the only phone that conked on me, even my note 4 is still alive !!!!
