I have a frustrating problem. When I try to forward an email with attachments through the Gmail App (on my Note 9) the attachments don't stay attached. Make sense? The recipient receives email with no attachments. I checked the size of the email attachment and it's usually a few megs nothing huge. Any ideas?

I know that Gmail blocks some attachments from being sent - ie: anything that Google deems to be a "security risk" - most of the time I appreciate it - But sometimes it can be annoying - For example if I try to send some zip files occasionally they are blocked - Likewise Google does similar things trying to upload files to Google Drive - Point being that it's not only a size issue (25 Meg limit I think) it can also be the type of attachment you are trying to send 🐧

These are all real estate related PDF's so not sure that would be the reason but I appreciated your reply

Check to find out what email app the recipient is using - The attachment could be getting blocked by their email app - You can test by sending an email with the attachment to yourself & verify if the attachment is being received by you - pdf attachments shouldn't be a problem.

Why would pdf's be blocked by any app? This is a fairly new problem and it's reared its ugly head two times now with different business colleagues. I cc'd myself to the email and the attachments were not attached. Pisses me off

I think that the problem might be that you are Forwarding the email & then the attachment is not included - Instead of Forwarding the email - Send it to your recipients as a new email with the attachment..

That's not a solution. I'd like to be able to simply forward an email with attachments and have the attachments send like I've been doing forever. Anyone else have any suggestions?

Well it may not be a solution for you - But it's also not a problem for me - I had no issues in using Gmail to forward an email including the attachment - So you might want to check your settings... Try not to sound so grateful..... You sound like you're pi**ed off with me..
I don't see anyone else trying to help you.

when you select forward there's an option to forward with the attachments and one to just forward the email.

I'm looking for a solution to my problem not a temporary workaround having to download the attachments and create a new email and reattach. I appreciate your assistance but wondering if anyone else has the same issue or any suggestions?
