I purchased the Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra (pre-ordered) on August 2020, and just earlier this month (Dec 2021), the phone was unable to charge via charging cable (still able to charge via wireless). Sent to Samsung service center and they claimed that it was the motherboard problem. It will cost RM1.6K to replace the motherboard (need to reformat phone) or repair the motherboard (RM370) but repair will take 2 weeks!! Either option will provide a lot of inconvenience! I have always been very careful with the phone, no hard drops, no expose to extreme temp/humid/water etc but finds it weird to have such issue.

Is this a common problem with Samsung Galaxy models? Can Samsung confirm it is not a defective/quality issue??

Could be your charging port f*cked up.Did you try plugging in your earphone and see wether its working or not?If after plugging in and earphone no sound then confirm liao your usb port got problem.I have been a samsung note user since note 1 till note10+ and in my opinion samsung phones have good quality control and ive never had any issues with it.Only issue i had was after software update and if your phone got lag or freeze samsung wont care to rectify the problem so if there isnt any need to update software i wont.
