The camera selective or live focus is not working..  how can I correct that please?

Can you please describe in a more detailed way how is this feature not working? Are there error messages or anything? What is shown on-screen when you try this feature?

Picture saved, but unable to apply focus contract effect. Subject not detected

Try taking the picture at a short distance from your subject. The effectiveness of this feature decrease with distance

Hi Alan147, do you mean you took a picture using Live Focus, but you open picture from Gallery and you cannot adjust background effect ?

Okay, are you able to use the zoom lens alone and focus on your subject with it outside the Live Focus mode?

Hey @Alan147,

Please make sure the camera app is updated to the latest version and Also, try to restart the device some times a simple restart will fix the issues.

You can edit the background blur level of a photo taken with the Live Focus feature. If the
background lighting of Live focus photos appears in blurred points, you can change the
the shape of the background blur.
Launch the Gallery app, select a photo taken with the Live focus feature, tap Change
background effect to edit the blur level or change the shape of the background blur.
