no notification sound

I have note10 plus anf running UI 3 version. Ever since the update, I have lost the notification sound for text message and emails. . I have tried to go in setting and do all the required things but it works of some time and again becomes silent. The setting shows message sound on but it doesn't work. 

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi tarang26, I suggest you please wipe the cache partition by following the steps below and check if the issue got resolved.

1. Turn off the device.
2. Press and hold the "Volume Up" key and the "Power" key.
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. Press the "Volume down" key several times to highlight "Wipe cache partition" after the Android Recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the "Power" key to select.
6. When the process is complete, "Reboot system now" is highlighted.
7. Press the "Power" key to restart the device.

the notification sound stopped again. it works or sometime and goes off again. is there anyway to go back on old version

I've tried several steps but I saw the one that worked was a factory reset. Make sure to back up your phone first.
