My Note 20 Security update is still on October 2022. Though, today my Google Protect has updated to January 2023. Looking in Software information, why in area highlighted, it says Boring?

It is just the name of one of the SSL libraries. These libraries handle the encryption when web services are accessed by your device.

I was thinking perhaps it's malware that has sneaked through via security update. Especially this phone is behind, on October 2022. My newer phone is more current, January 2023. I will check later what the name of the SSL is there.

Well I have switched to my newer phone the most current security update. That SSL is named the same. Well that is a unique way of calling it 😅 . They must have been bored.
