Hi , my note 8 keeps giving me a notice that moisture has been detected . It started happening since I purchased an OtterBox defender because of the usb port cover. It goes away after about 20 mins after removing the usb cover . Is there anyway to disable the notification permanently?

No I believe you cant disable it. What I would recommend is using a hair blower and trying to see if the sensors detected water or is maybe malfunctioning.

A baggy 1/4 filled with rice is a better idea - You can also Boot into Safe Mode and see if the notification goes away..

thanks to both for the suggestions, but my phone has never been in contact with water. it's like the port cover on the OtterBox is setting off the notification. I was hoping I could just disable the notification somehow.

Remotely possible that the case is allowing condensation to build up.... You could try sticking both in a baggy with rice overnight and see what happens tomorrow?

not a bug IMHO.

I got the same notifications on my note 8 after walking in a blizzard last week.
The humidity will reach the device no matter how well you hide inside your thick jacket.

I ended up cutting the port flaps off , a crappy solution because those covers provided a nice surface for my pinky finger.
