note 9 screen discoloration

Hi. I've experience screen discoloration on my note 9 yesterday. This is 5 days after updating the software on the 1/6/20. I asked the live chat help and tried all the suggestions even until safe mode but still the problem persists. Their last comment was to bring the note 9 to service center. I saw on the net lots of other note 9 owners all over the world having the same issue

1. Im curious how many note 9 users in Malaysia has been affected by the same sofware issue. 

2. Likely they will ask me to change the screen as samsumg has not come up with any official statements on this matter.

3. Also worried thar after i change my screen how can i be sure it wont happen again as the same software is still present in the phone. This means the phone is unreliable. 

Just sharing this unpleasant experience after updating my phone. Feel free to comment or any suggestion welcomed

Guys, as I said earlier I have created a form to consolidate all the users data so that we can show how severe the problem was.

It may take some time but please submit it without fail.

How more we can collect the data is depends on how close we are to get the solution.

Else, we can share all the data to public tech forums, so that they can raise the voice on behalf of us.

Temporary Solutions Working As of Now

0)Enable Always On Display with Show Always Option
1) Try to Unlock Your devices with wrong finger, after 5 attempts it will ask you to unlock with PIN there you could get normal display.

1.1) To prevent the screen off you could install No Screen Off app from playstore. So that you could have normal display if fingerprint option worked.

2) Install below app from XDA Developers(Worked for most of all)

AMOLED PWMfree

3) Install below app from Playstore
OLED Saver

4) Without any apps or third party tools you can try to change the brightness through the bar in quick panel.

When brightness is below 20 you could get normal display without this discoloration or black bars. You couldn't use adaptive display here. So might be problem if you are outside.

We don't know this is coincidence hardware damage for all of us or a software glitch yet.

We haven't heard anything officially from Samsung yet.

They still behaving everytime when we complain they heard this issue for the first time.

Customers care chat, Community Forum, Emails, Samsung CEO Desk tried every possible way of communication but nothing got the proper response till now.

just an update to the problem above. i sent my phone to Samsung official service center. They have kindly replaced my screen and battery completely free😊 so my phone is working like new.
