Hi ya Folks,
My note 9 just starting to shutdown by itself when in lock mode on the always on display screen...the blue led indicator starts to blink as well..When I'm working on the cell it works perfectly and it doesn't shutdown..
I have seen some folks on forums that are experiencing the same issue..
Any takes?

hmm I can't say, as I've never owned a note. Have you tried any troubleshooting steps yet? what if you were to disable AOD, does it still happen?

You could go to Samsung Members app - "Help" on the Welcome page and run the Diagnostics - Maybe send a Bug Report & See if Samsung Support can help?
You could also Boot into Recovery and Wipe Cache - If you are still having issues - You could Backup your device with Smart Switch & Move everything you need or want to your external sd card or computer & Factory Reset...

Or you could try Booting into Safe Mode for a few hours or a day & see if you have the same problem? 🐧

Hi,
I did all the steps above and problem remains..
My research online revealed that culprit is the finger print sensor..I disabled it and problem solved..but that's hardly a solution since I can't use the FS..
I contacted Samsung Canada to see if they can replace the FS under warranty..
looks like a known issue with the Note9

Depending on your location - Visiting an Authorized Samsung Service Center might be a good idea - Obviously given the age of your Note9 any Hardware issues should definitely be covered under warranty - Hopefully there is no physical damage to the device - In which case Samsung MAY deny warranty coverage?
I haven't heard much in the way of FP issues with the S9 series & Note9 - So it doesn't APPEAR to be a widespread issue?
Good luck 🤞

Yeah weird - I read the posts on the link - But I don't think that I've seen any other posts on the Canadian Samsung Members.. I've never had any issues with my S9+ all though there were some posts on the US website..
