Galaxy NoteHi ninjapumps11,
Smart Select, Live Messages, and AR Doodle may not open if Air Command settings are misconfigured, the S Pen is not properly connected, or the apps/features are disabled or restricted.
Here are detailed steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Check Air Command Settings
-
Go to Settings > Advanced Features > S Pen > Air Command.
-
Ensure Smart Select, Live Messages, and AR Doodle are enabled in the Air Command shortcuts.
-
If they’re missing, tap “Shortcuts” and manually add them back.
2. Verify S Pen Connection
-
Insert the S Pen into your device to ensure it’s properly paired.
-
Go to Settings > Advanced Features > S Pen and confirm it shows as connected.
-
If not, remove and reinsert the S Pen to re-establish the connection.
3. Update Software
-
Check for system updates: Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
-
Also update the Samsung Notes, AR Zone, and Live Message apps via the Galaxy Store or Google Play Store.
4. Clear Cache for Affected Apps
-
Go to Settings > Apps.
-
Find and select Samsung Notes, AR Zone, and Live Message.
-
Tap Storage > Clear Cache.
5. Test in Safe Mode
-
Restart your phone in Safe Mode to rule out third-party app interference:
-
Press and hold the Power button > Tap and hold Power off > Select Safe Mode.
-
Try launching the S Pen features again.
-
6. Reset Air Command Preferences
-
Go to Settings > Apps > Tap the three-dot menu > Reset app preferences.
-
This will restore default settings for disabled apps and features.
If the issue persists after these steps, consider performing a full device restart for further diagnostics.
