Hello! I would like to ask help from anyone here.

My sim is perfectly working this morning then suddenly my sim did not work. It says "for emergency calls only" and it appears that "Sim 2 Not Allowed". I am using XL sim card and my phone is Note 10, dual sim. I bought my phone in the Philippines and Im staying for 3 months already.

I hope you can help me.

Thanks!

My sim worked in the device of XL earlier. So it seems like the problem is my phone.

Have you register your phone to the Immigration offices prior to your visit in Indonesia? It's usually needed if you stay for a little bit longer than those who are visited for just a month or a week. I don't know how much it will cost, but it will be expensive according to one of my foreign acquaintance. Or an alternative, although I can't confirm if this is genuinely works, is that you may want to move from XL Axiata to Smartfren. Smartfren as far as I know are friendly whose IMEI (identity of their phone or devices) that got blocked, or unregistered yet. Hope this helps.

Hello! Thanks for sharing.

My phone was registered last July in XL Branch in one mall. Everything was working well earlier but I suddenly was not able to use it anymore.

When I spoke with the representative in XL this afternoon, he said that I need to register my phone again thru its IMEI. I dont know if you have any idea, do we need to register it every 3 months? If yes, is there a way that it will no longer need to register every after 3 months?

I hope you can still help me with this. Thank you so much!

I have no experience with this because I'm the locals here in Indonesia, so sorry I can't help much. You might need to ask that to the Immigration offices regading the periodic re-registration of your phone's identity (IMEI). Or maybe you can just bought a cheap smartphone here in Indonesia if you plan to stay longer than any regular vacation duration. Again sorry can't help you much, but hoping to get your problem sorted.

Probably caused by old sim card, you gotta go to provider office such as Xplor as per ur case. By the time u arrive u can ask them to renew it then voilaa everything changes in accordance. Thats all from my side

The XL sim card only works in tge 2nd slot of my sims. In order for any sim card to work (in Sim 2 slot), my sim card in the Phlippines has to be inserted.
