SMS Notifications

Since Oreo update on Note 8 native Messages app does not give notification of generic incoming text messages...no sound, no badge, does vibrate though. Samsung Chat 3 times did not fix the problem. Unfortunately, the last rep lost interest in the issue and ended chat without resolution or sign-off. Frustrating experience. Any solutions? Thx.

Thanks...been looking, but haven't found a solution. Not seeking customized notifications fo particular contacts, just want generic. So far, no luck.

@ggto416 Using the Stock Messaging app on S8+ Oreo 8.0 and Custom Notification sounds work... Not sure about the Note8 though?

Apologies for obvious question - But did you check that the Volume for Notifications is on high enough?

You could always try a different SMS /MMS app - I use Evolve 😉🐧

yes, same happened to mine note 8. seems ok for my friend using 8+. tech couldn't help me either.
