phones not covered by warranty so I had to replace the screen myself.
After reassembling and starting to charge the battery whilst checking to make sure everything functions as it should I get a temperature warning indicator. Is this related to the processor or the battery?
Would like to know before I glue down the battery and the back glass.
Also. There is something that fits in the hole under the front facing camera (photo 3) and sits up against the back of the display. I think its one of these chips in photo 1 and 2. (likely 2). It had what I thought at the time was loads if dust on it, but logic now suggests that wouldn't be the case in a "clean-room". So my second guess was some sort of thermal conductor? It would be nice to know because I wiped it all off. LOL.
I read the comprehensive teardown on Ifixit and I think it may have been carbon as these uses copper and carbon for heat dissipation. It was more "dusty" than pasty like traditional thermal compound.
I took it apart again to take a picture of the chip in question, but honestly it looks more like an under-display speaker.
