unable to back using smart switch

hi. 

i am not able to use the smart switch PC to back up my media file (photo, video and etc)

The error always failed at the stage where by loading the backup list from whatsapp folder

The screenshot 1 showed the backup failed. 

Then if you notice the second screenshot, there is exclamation shown and the message is "Photo files are hidden by a photo/video locking apps. .....'

Could this be the reason the backup failed?

Will it go thru if you remove WhatsApp from the backup?

WhatsApp backup on smart switch does not recover WhatsApp as well. Might be better to back up to goggle drive.

How do i unhide the photos?

I had the failed to backup error too. what worked for me is removing the whatsapp animated gifs and stickers folder from /Internal storage/Android/media/
com.whatsapp/WhatsApp/Media/

you can transfer the 2 folders into your pc.

My backup freezes when it reaches WhatsApp Gif backup and does not proceed. Thanks for the update.
