Telus provider, when I enter the access code they send me for Wi-Fi calling as soon as I hit continue it tells me the page has expired. Its supposed to have 10 minutes before expiry of the code. I don't know if is talking about the code or a page error. I tried it many times over.

It's a brand new Note 8 replacement and I move my original SIM card over. Telus support does not sound confident and cannot explain it but wants to push updates to my SIM card. She cannot explain what they are what they do or why. Frankly after two days of setting up and configuring my new phone I'm understandably nervous about what she may do.

Does anyone have experience or information on either of these please?

hmmmm that's not heartening, but tells me it's not likely localized to my phone. I will try my provider early tomorrow morning when domestic support usually answer, and they are typically more knowledgable. If I must i will try the sim card update after a backup and finding out more about it. Tx, and I'll post any news.

You should be able to enable WiFi Calling from the Dialer - Three Dot Menu Top Right - Don't think that you need the Carrier to do anything...

your phone isn't a problem, its the telus. it took me almost half a day of trying to get WI-fi calling activated.

I'm with koodo and had the same problem . I called them and they enabled it from their end. it will show as an addon in your account as WiFi calling or Volte calling. you can then come back to activate through the phone and it should work.

@asem she didn't have a clue, outsourced offshore....

@jmak I'll keep trying cause i'm stubborn 😁

@shaggyskunks9p after the ellipsis menu it asks for your cell # to send an access code, then as I posted... and shoulda coulda, in a perfect world.... so carrier is the next logical step...

Tx all... I'm still working on setting up my new phone but I'll wait now till Monday morning to call them... amazing what you learn about these things reading the manual.

That's strange since koodo and telus are the same company! Call again 😄

not at all strange... low rent call centers, only rarely have I had even a decent experience. I'll get help from a local center.

Try to activate it without wifi, I found it to work better activating it on my LTE than in wifi.

If your phone plan does not include the code for wifi calling it shouldn't be an issue the system normally adds it by itself.

Try removing the sim, shutting the phone off, remove the sim restart after all steps
