I used my note 20 ultra to take underwater shots, been doing this from my S7 edge, note 8 and note 9, now my note 20 is dead! I know that's a bad idea but I'm confident that my phone will still stand to the test. To give you guys an idea on how much the damage is, samsung SM North EDSA gave me the cost to replace the following. Motherboard, battery and screen, that's ₱26,000. I think I will just say goodbye to my phone, will save up again to get another flagship.

I too experience that before with my Note 8. That's why now I avoid using my phone for underwater activities. 😆

It's usually not really recommended to use our phones for underwater activities even with their IP rating protections. As this is just an added layer of protections for accidental drops and such. We also have to take to account the type of water exposure (salt, clear, chlorinated). 😄

If you really like go for underwater activities then I recommend you put an underwater case. Brands like Shellbox is good underwater case. 😊

You can always trade up your phone for a new flagship samsung phone. They have a great trade program. I suggest you visit a Samsung Store to have a better idea on it. 🥳

I was too confident, I even used my note 8 before for a prenup underwater shoot without a case and that phone is still kicking strong 😂.

Good to hear. But it's always a good idea to get an underwater case. As our phones are usually expensive and an investment of ours. 😊

Awwww... Even with their IP ratings, it's usually not a good idea to use mobile phones for underwater activities. As this is merely an additional layer of protection against accidental drops and the such.

Yes it is not a good idea, I was too confident and that's my fault, i was just sharing my experience. It's just a sad ending for my Note 20 Ultra.
