Hi, wondering if anyone has the same issue with S23U 10x lens. It has a green or blue tint for some reason that greatly degrades the photo quality. I didn't have this issue before and I only noticed this some time after the October Update (I'm not sure if it's related)

Does anyone know the solution or is Samsung at least aware of this issue?

I attached a video, notice that it only happens with 10x lens. I'm good with the other lenses.

1. May lense protector ang lens ng phone mo? If yes try removing them.

2. Try tuning off "Auto lens switching"

3. Try clearing your camera cache.

1. No lens protector

2. Tried that, but the camera still switches lens. Idk why, but it's off now.

3. Tried that also, even resetting the camera app. Still same issue.

It's using the periscope lens as 10x optical. Must be light hitting the sensor multiple times. You can attach a polarizer to the periscope lens to compensate. Or remaster the image.

Thanks for your insight.

Do you think this is this lens damage? Or a software issue.

I didn't have this problem before, so I'm trying to figure out if I should have this repaired or wait for the updates.

It's hardware implementation. They can adjust the capture settings if they want to compensate but have not done yet. You're not alone every unit has that, especially, when shooting against the light. Try polarizing film on top of the 10x lens. Or your sunglasses.

Every phone has this? Maybe, but I didn't have this problem before. I had this phone since February but only had this problem now.

Tried using a polarized glasses but photos are still ugly.

Every Galaxy S Ultra that uses a periscope lens has this. I have this and it resolves the same as yours given the right condition. At this time, I suggest using re-master on photos taken with the 10x lens. I usually post process my photos in lightroom anyway and capture raw. Until Samsung updates we can only mitigate at this time if the output doesn't meet your requirements. Photographer mistakes not included.

Hi Robert05! This is because from 10x zoom, the Galaxy S23 Ultra switches to digital zoom so that may change the photo's quality. Please also make sure that your camera lenses are always clean!

However, to be extra sure it's this, let's go ahead and run your phone in Safe Mode. To do this:

  1. Turn off your phone, then turn it back on
  2. When the Samsung logo shows up, press and hold the Volume Down button
  3. Your phone should now be in Safe Mode; you can clarify this if you see "Safe Mode" on the bottom left of your screen

Hi,

I understand that, but this has never been an issue before. The blue/green tint is not the quality that I was used to since I had the phone.

Yes, I cleaned the lens. Still same issue.

Yes, I tried safe mode, I tried resetting the camera app, I tried clearing the cache. Still the same issue for me.
