Does only charging to 85% really save your battery that much if so for how long? Also how much battery life are you going to lose using the 120hz screen rate? I figure I can make up with lost battery charging to 100% instead of 85%. Thoughts? S20FE.

On my A53 5g, with 91% of battery, I have 16h 15min autonomy with 120hz screen rate, when I turn on power saving (without limiting anything, just turning into 60hz screen rate) I reach 17h 23min. So I loose about 1h 08min of autonomy when I use the 120hz screen rateScreenshot_20220814-223637_Device care.jpgScreenshot_20220814-223646_Device care_5927_1660531149.jpg

I've heard theory's about only charging to 85% I tried it for a few weeks when I first got my S22 ...
I'm still using 120hz but I charge to 100% haven't noticed any impact yet

Nah don't worry about it. Useless to charge just up to 85%

Hi Frederick2022, if you can enable the Protect battery setting within your Battery & device care settings the device will charge upto 85%. It will help you to save the battery and extend the battery life.

However, you can view the estimated battery life based on how much you have used. You can also closely monitor how much battery your apps are eating up.

From Settings, swipe to and tap Device care, and then tap Battery. To view your battery usage, tap Battery usage at the top of the page.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions on the battery life.

Is there any studies being done to see how much you will extend the life of your battery? Is it very extreme like years or very little as in months?
