I accidentally inserted my sim pin tool in the mic hole. I'm still anxious about it if I damaged anything inside. I already did a test record on it and it seems fine, but I don't know about the waterproofing inside if I damaged it or not.
No it won't damage your phone internals nor your phone's water resistance. The inside of the whole is kind of angled so you can't poke it and reach the microphone. You can search for jerryrigheverythin on YouTube where he disassembles phones and sometimes shows what happens if you poke the wrong hole for SIM. 😉
