Did clear cache partition, repair app, uninstall recent apps and factory rest, but still not solved. So this became a hardware issue when im very careful with my phone? I saw many posts of facebook regarding this after march update

Sorry to hear, I suggest you bring it to the nearest Authorized Samsung Service Center.

If you still have Samsung Care+ you can use it. 😊

Nah. Its out of warranty. I dont want to spend, the screen is almost half of the price of the phone. I am venting my frustrations here. Im pretty sure the cause is the march update. Never had this phone drop/fall, nor any physical activities that may have caused this. So the recent action was just the software update that seems to destroy the hardware or my screen.

This is the worst scenario for having Samsung phone, we are prone to display issue when we just want to update our phone to get better experience. It happened too with my S20 ultra and i spend 10k for the display replacement. I love Samsung but they should act on this. Hopefully it will never happen in the future units and updates.

Im sure its not entirely the software update's fault. But yeah some factors to consider, could be the update trigered something on the hardware. I also found some posts on facebook saying this happened to them this march update. In anycase, i know this can no longer be fixed via software update. Im just disappointed.

Hello Axllorenz,

We apologize for the inconvenience it caused you upon hearing about your experience with the recent updates on your beloved Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra having issues with green vertical line on screen.

I really understand what you are feeling right now, expecting your device to perform better after an update but turns out it gives you this green light on display instead.  If it happens on my device, I will be frustrated too.

To pinpoint the exact root cause of the problem, may you please submit an error report through the Samsung Members app as follows:

Step 1. Long press Samsung Members icon on Apps screen and tap Error reports.

Step 2. Tap OK on agreement popup to send system log data.

Step 3. Select Symptom category "Display".

Step 4. Describe the problem in details and SEND.
