Amazing device... bad phone

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8, and don't get me wrong... It's an amazing device. But I can't say it's an amazing phone. When I dial a number there's always a lag until the call goes through... It's faster on my aunt's flip phone. 

Most recently, every time I dial my dad who is also on an S8, I can't hear him. Once I call him back a second time, it then works. This obviously isn't a huge problem, just a slight annoyance. 

Appreciate any help! :) Anyone else experiencing this problem?

You might want to talk to your mobile carrier about these call issues as this is not really a device problem.

that would make sense, however it's only S8 to S8 where I experience this problem

Might be because your phone is connected to LTE and your carrier doesn't support VoLTE. Your phone must switch to 3G before calling, which does explain any potential delay

That and how often do you actually reboot your phone? If it is on for extended periods of time, it will affect your connection to your service provider
