The most recent android 16 one-ui 8 update has caused my phone to be unable to connect to certain devices. Worked fine the day before the update, and the next day after problems appeared. My phone does not connect automatically for audio, but it will for calls. It takes me manually toggling on and off the "for audio" button to get them to actually play audio. And if they do, they will disconnect again. This happens most often with my car head unit, which is from 2010. No android auto, no software that should be preventing this. It refuses to connect unless I manually toggle the "for audio" button multiple times. Was never a problem before this update. Seriously considering leaving Samsung

Issue is still ongoing, I have tried:
-Resetting Bluetooth/wifi settings
-Changing developer settings (A2DP seems to be the issue)
-Programming a macro to auto reconnect Bluetooth(Samsung locked out functionality, even with root)

Did you try Resetting the Network Settings? Usually fixes the problem.

Same issues here, phone says its connected. But its not enabling audio unless you fiddle with the switch. My car is an older model as well, 2013 Acura TSX. However I have rented a couple of newer cars since and it worked fine so I wonder if they just disabled an older form of Bluetooth maybe?

Im in the same boat. My Bluetooth worked fine before the update and now I can't connect to my car. I have a 2012 Acura TSX and it's like my phone is sending push notifications for it to automatically connect and wants me to enter the standard "0000" code to connect. It never did that before and it consistently wants to connect while I am driving and won't shut off the standard HFL (hands free link) message that I can't set it up through my phone and have to do it through the HFL set up menu while the vehicle is stopped. It continues relaying this message every 30 seconds or so (regardless of what I have playing ie radio, CD, etc.) it interrups.  If I turn off Bluetooth on my phone it stops (thankfully I figured that out as it was driving me nuts). It's like it has a mind of its own now (AI???)... would love a fix asap 🙏 Phone is a Samsung Galaxy S22+

Thanks!

Hi Members_AVTEqpn,

Please note that Bluetooth behavior may vary depending on the vehicle model and its compatibility with updated phone software.

Let's try a few steps that may help:

1. On your Galaxy device, go to Settings > Apps > Bluetooth > Storage
clear cache and data restart your phone.

2. Reset network settings: Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings. (Note: this will erase Wi-Fi passwords and Bluetooth pairings, so you'll need to reconfigure them.)

3. Car system reset: Some older head units benefit from a reset of their Bluetooth module before re-pairing.

Kindly follow the steps provided and let us know if the issue continues, so we can assist you further.

I've tried all of those. No dice. Same exact issue

The issue persists. The latest update does not change any of the symptoms, despite me having tried the proposed solutions

Did you try using the Samsung Members app > Support > Diagnostics for the Bluetooth.. see if you get any error messages?
