Delete your car from your phone and delete your phone on your car radio. Restart your phone and your car radio and reconnect by bluetooth first and reconnect your USB cable.  Make sure that you have a good quality USB cable at least the original tha came with your phone.  A sheep USB cable bought à Dollar Store won't work properly.

Hi, have you run through the setup for Android Auto via Settings > Advanced features > Android Auto?

If the issue persists, try connecting to another compatible car system, or checking for any available updates for your Car system via their website.

My S22 Ultra and aftermarket AA connect perfectly fine wirelessly from a 'cold start' (ex. First thing in the morning, or after about 3-4'ish hours after previous successful connection). But say I've driven and stopped to exit the vehicle, go into a store or drop the children off at school, when I get back in 15 or 20 minutes later, I cannot reconnect (phone displays "looking for Android Auto" banner notification loop, and the aftermarket unit says "connecting wireless Android auto, please make sure phones WLAN is open"). No amount of reboots to either unit resolves the issue. Neither does un-pairing & reestablishing the pair, cache & data clearing, trying different app versions, nothing works until enough time had elapsed that seemingly the S22 ultra phone has effectively reset.

Just for reference, the same aftermarket unit also does Carplay. And using my wife's iphone, CarPlay connects each and every time without issue.

I tried wireless AA with a third party system, and had trouble with the mic, so I switched back to the USB cable and no longer have a problem.

Mic is fine. Everything is fine, except this reconnection issue after a short/brief disconnection. As mentioned, wife's iPhone max XS connects perfectly fine to Carplay each and every time on the same box wirelessly. It has something to do with either Samsung S22 ultra, or Android Auto (or a combo). I've opened a ticket in the Android Auto community and an agent has reached out to gather a debugging data dump.
