Galaxy S
I think Samsung, with its precision opto-mechanical engineering expertise should consider offering their own EXTERNAL fast telephoto lens of diam ~ 50mm and precision-aligned interface to future S series smartphones .. to achieve OPTICAL zoom levels of ~ 100x. The focal length requirement, and lens size probably means that an internal folded path design (like 10x periscope lens in S23) isn't feasible.
I'm thinking along the lines of the Freewell x1.7 external lens (which I'll be testing in a few days) but with higher optical zoom and a sota lens design. This would obviously be an add-on accessory at $$ but would elevate the astro photo capability to that of a precision digital mirrorless camera with 100× the light gathering capability of the current ~ 5mm lens design. This means, for example, in ExpertRaw Astromode (multi-image stacking), the time of each component photo could be much shorter, virtually eliminating and residual star-trailing effects in the composite image.
For precision focusing, the S23 Ultra and future versions need to have contactless remote lens focusing adjustment capability (say with the S pen? ).

I woukd be interested in some external lens also if they are not too expensive. A macro lens would be fun.
