Hi Members,

I've been using S26 Ultra for a whike now. Love the Call Screening. Now I have no more computer scam calls.

Recently, I noticed that when I use Facebook, Instagram, Tik-Tok apps, Audio Eraser appeared on my notification area. By default is turn off, so you need to enable it manually every time you closed the app.

Very interesting. It says reduce unwanted background noise in vedio. I ask myself, do I need it? Maybe it is useful in some scenarios. Like someone record an accident, a lot of background noise and cannot hear what people saying....etc. I think is useful in some way.

However, it only works on the phone. What I mean is if you are using Galaxy Buds while watching reels on these apps, the audio eraser won't show up. Only play reels on those apps without using Buds will show audio eraser on notification.

And during calls, I found Mic mode on notification.

I tried switching standard and voice focus, seems like no difference. Maybe callers need to in noisy aera will make the difference in voice focus mode.

Hi Tallman,

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Galaxy S26 Ultra. We’re glad to hear that features like Call Screening have helped reduce unwanted scam calls, and we appreciate your detailed observations about Audio Eraser and Mic Mode and we’re here to support you.

Regarding your feedback:

Audio Eraser: This feature is designed to reduce unwanted background noise in videos, making voices clearer in noisy environments. As you noticed, it currently appears in the notification area when using apps like Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok directly on the phone. At this time, it does not activate when using Galaxy Buds, as the feature is optimized for playback through the device itself.

Mic Mode during calls: Options such as Standard and Voice Focus are intended to improve clarity depending on your environment. In quieter areas, the difference may be subtle, but in noisy surroundings, Voice Focus can help isolate speech for the caller on the other end.

Here are the some troubleshooting steps:

  • Test Voice Focus: Try it in noisy environments to notice clearer differences.
  • Run diagnostics: Use the Samsung Members app under Support > Diagnostics to check audio performance.
  • Share feedback: Submit your observations in Samsung Members to help improve features like Audio Eraser and Mic Mode.

Your feedback is valuable, and we’re committed to ensuring you have the best possible experience with your Samsung product.
