Galaxy SHi SaintSoldier,
We completely understand your frustration, especially when the update seems to have impacted the battery performance on your Galaxy S22. We appreciate your efforts that you’ve already tried some basic troubleshooting steps like clearing the cache and checking background apps.
Please check for battery draining app. Go to Settings > Battery and Device Care > Battery > Battery Usage. Look for apps that are consuming an unusual amount of battery. If you find any apps misbehaving, you can force stop them or uninstall/reinstall them.
Disable adaptive battery: Go to Settings > Battery and disable Adaptive Battery. This feature can sometimes behave erratically after updates.
Booting in Safe Mode helps determine if any third-party apps are causing the issue. In Safe Mode, only system apps run.
- To enter Safe Mode: Press and hold the Power button > tap and hold Power Off until Safe Mode appears.
- Check battery usage in Safe Mode to see if the issue persists. If battery drain stops, it’s likely an app causing the issue. You can start uninstalling apps one by one to pinpoint the culprit.
It's unfortunate that a security update is causing such a significant issue, and hopefully these steps help to resolve the issue.
Thank you.
