Hello everyone. I transferred some of my videos from my Galaxy S21 Ultra phone to the laptop. Prior to disconnecting my phone from the laptop, my camera folder was still there. But when I checked my gallery after a few hours, the camera folder was missing and nowhere to be found. I've already tried various ways to retrieve/ recover all photos and videos in that folder. However, all fail. Can somebody help me with this one? 🥺
Did you disconnect safely? I know the phone has plug and play file system but sometimes disconnecting abruptly can lead to corrupted file systems. If you're confident with your backed up data you can restart the phone so the system can rebuild the missing folder structure
I don't have any back up data. 🥺 I've been transferring files for quite sometime, and everything went smoothly except for this one. I restarted my phone yesterday, but the camera folder is still missing. I no longer know what to do.
I had the same issue about photos suddenly disappeared in my S21U as well, but I didn't connect it to a PC prior to that. I also posted it here April last year but didn't get any feedback. 😥
This incident is really sad most especially when we have important photo documentation in our camera folder. I hope Samsung can help us resolve this issue.
I saw another post like this here, but I can't find it anymore. I believe he/she is using S24U. So it's not only the two of us who encountered this issue. But as what I said on my post, good thing my gallery is being auto backup to the cloud. I guess you and everyone else should do that too.
Maybe next time, I will back up my photos. I was very confident that I won't encounter such issue. I have been using Samsung ever since, and all my files were safe. Nothing was lost nor deleted (except for those I intended to delete). Although I feel almost hopeless, but I am still trying to be positive that this will be resolved. 🙏
